through February 8. Many thanks to our
devoted volunteers, Lois Lawton and Pam McGinley, who make the book fair
possible! Homework Club Beginning
Tuesday, February 5, Homework Club, which is currently offered on Wednesday
evenings after school, will move to Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30
PM, to make it
available to more students. This
program is designed to assist students of all ability levels with their daily
homework. Students not currently
signed up for Homework Club may do so on February 5 during parent-teacher
conferences. Mrs. Murphy, our district
reading specialist, will have permission slips in room A02. If you would like your child to participate
in this program at any point during the year, we must have signed permission
from the parent or guardian. Please
contact Mrs. Murphy at extension 2228 if you have any questions about this
program or would like a permission slip sent home with your child. |

Club, 3:30-4:30 From the Principal January was
quite the weather adventure. As we head into February thoughts of warmer
weather start creeping into my mind. We have been busy here at Grayside. We
just completed our winter MAP testing. It is so nice to see growth in the
children. The year is half over and we have lots to do before the summer
break. I hope those of you who attend
conferences find them to be informative and helpful. I want to thank
all of you for supporting your children in their education. Learning is much
more successful if we are partners. I also hope all the moms and grandmas or
aunts that attended Muffins for Moms had a good time. We are looking forward
to Donuts with Dads on the 5th of February. On January
28 we recognized 84 students with perfect attendance for the second quarter.
That is awesome! We will recognize
students with perfect attendance again at the end of the third quarter. If your child is unable to come to school,
please call to let us know. Have a
great February! Cathy Wenzel
